Despite a cold snap, today the dogwood blooms have just opened, though still green in color! It looks like this will be a really good year for dogwoods. Some years ago in Harrison, Arkansas, a family wired their property so that the large array of dogwoods in their yard were lit during dogwood blooming season. The resulting display was spectacular! Admirers would drive by the house at night to enjoy the white, snowy blossoms. One has to admire the work it took to plant and nurture the trees and execute the lighting, as well. The muscadines also are showing life, with buds becoming fuzzy. We enjoy watching the transformation of winter into spring.
