Spring is almost here!  The Sarvis has been blooming for a couple of weeks, and the fruit trees are starting to bloom now.  It's time to start wishing for no frost, hoping for a good summer peach crop this year in Arkansas.  The sap is up in the muscadines, but no swelling of the buds yet, which is fine.  The muscadines are about the last fruit to bloom and the last to harvest, always running neck and neck with the Arkansas Black apples for harvesting.  We continue to eat the peaches, blueberries, and muscadines from the freezer, feeling cheered at the prospects of the fresh produce to come!
