Spring is here, and with it the green leaves proving that the muscadine vines survived the harsh cold and snow of the winter.  Such a relief to see the green spreading through the vineyard as each day passes now.  We've had some stormy weather already and are working our way through the vineyard securing plants in anticipation of the spring storms that will develop.   We are replacing the few plants that didn't take hold last year.  After experiencing our first real harvest this past fall, all our efforts are more meaningful, somehow, in producing the best possible muscadines.  It's interesting that seeing fruition leads to evermore determination.  Maybe we just like seeing concrete results?
