We've hit the ground running now! The muscadine growth has really taken off, so we have plenty to do, particularly with the most newly planted muscadines that we are training. First, we're making sure the most mature vines are firmly secured in order to withstand the weight of fruit by the end of the summer. Also, we've not been getting much in the way of April showers, so we're preparing to check the irrigation system, just in case the currently forecast rain doesn't materialize. Normally, we wouldn't irrigate for another month, but we're reported to be four inches below normal in rain for April.
