Autumn is progressing, and we are deep into enjoying the beauty of it. We love the lower sunlight angle filtering through the ever-changing colors as the leaves turn. We enjoy the fruits available only at this time of year, such as the Arkansas Black apples and persimmons and the last of the ripening muscadines. We ate a few muscadines last yesterday as we worked, but we think that will be the last of them for the season. We had a hard freeze last night. Now the work to prepare for winter begins in earnest. We continue dirt work, securing vines, and draining irrigation pipe. It's probably the best weather for working right now, and the surrounding autumn scenery is a constant source of delight.
