We are so fortunate that we were spared the big storms yesterday! The radar showed a very unusual pattern of two large, almost stationery storm cells, though one was moving slowly southward and the other slowly northward. The two joined for awhile...and we were at the far edge. The clouds were ominous and dramatic. Fayetteville got softball-sized hail. Madison County got 3-5 inches of rain. We got a pretty good shower--and best of all, no damage to the muscadine vineyard! It did cool things off to about 70 degrees, so vineyard work in the evening was most pleasant.
