It's been raining a lot, and we've continued to be thankful that we got the harvest in before the rains set in.  On the rainy days, we've done some canning and baking, taking advantage of the just-harvested muscadines.  On the dry days, we've continued training the 1- and 2-year-old plants and munching on the few bunches of muscadines that linger, enjoying the season to the fullest.  We recently had a freshly-baked deep-dish cobbler using the bronze Carlos muscadine juice, pulp, and hulls.  It was a treat!  Very autumn-ish in flavor, texture, and fragrance.
